Road Accident Fund to pay R738,752.99

updated: 05-Jan-15

There is nothing more comforting than knowing you have the best, legitimate team on your side when you are fighting a legal battle. When you choose de Broglio Inc to represent you in your claim against the Road Accident Fund (RAF), this is exactly what you can be guaranteed to get.

Mr du Plessis* appointed de Broglio Inc to institute and run his RAF claim after he had been involved in a motor vehicle accident in 2011. He had been riding his motorcycle when another vehicle had turned in front of him. He had suffered multiple fractures and scarring from the accident.

de Broglio Inc handled every aspect of his claim and kept Mr du Plessis updated as to the progress of his case. The matter was running smoothly but unfortunately things were not going well in Mr du Plessis’s personal life, he had cancer.

Sadly, he passed away before his claim was finalized. This did not mean, however, that the claim could not be concluded. As per the South African law, the case was at a stage where de Broglio Inc were legally bound to continue with it until settlement.

de Broglio Inc  continued with his RAF claim as legally obliged to do so and arranged for his estate to benefit from his settlement.

The legal staff at de Broglio Inc know the law and when it comes to these types of cases they are competent enough to handle situations where life hands out a curve ball.

de Broglio Inc successfully settled this matter for the amount of R738, 752.99 in the South Gauteng High Court. Although Mr du Plessis was not able to benefit himself from the compensation, justice had been served and at the end of the day, de Broglio Inc had yet again settled another matter even with the complications that arose along the way.
