In August, I met with Liz, Tamaryn and Advocate Eben Serfontein at Pretoria High Court. Also, I was happy to be in the court with my team to see the whole scene as Advocate Serfontein talked about my case to the judge. This was interesting for me. I have one brother of mine ,who also comes from Zimbabwe, who told me that he was left in the car by his attorney, as the attorney argued alone in court, only to be told of the settled offer, without him being in the court.
I also want to congratulate you for your transparency. Recently I received the preliminary bill of my case, and all the related information. Also, I received all the medical reports as soon as they are available from doctors, only with a click on my Client Zone, email, or via post. Such easy, instant access to files for clients is not common to most law firms. One of my relatives wondered how I was aware that my case was from stage A to B, and explained that I am instantly updated of any development on my case through such mechanics.
In addition, I appreciate your drivers who arrived in time to pick me up so that I attended all my medico-legal appointments in time, and also made sure to drop me where they picked me up.
Also, besides myself being a foreign national, whereby where I come from there is no such a thing called The Road Accident Fund, nor does the government donate even a goat, or a cow, to a road accident victim as a "sorry" for pains, I consider this first settlement as a good amount…
